Postdoctoral position at Department of Psychology at York University, Toronto, Canada

The research in this lab examines the effect of bilingualism and musical training on cognitive and linguistic abilities across the lifespan. Research methods include behavioral and neuroimaging techniques. The lab has a 64-channel BioSemi ERP system on site. We are a large and active lab with many opportunities for collaboration. The research is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

Candidates must have:
• Ph.D in psychology or a related field
• Demonstrated research ability
• Knowledge of imaging techniques (especially ERP) an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with others

Responsibilities include:
• Creation and design of experiments within this research program
• Supervision of research assistants and research students
• Participation in and contribution to ongoing experiments in the lab
• Opportunities available for teaching
