Job Offer
of a post-doctoral position in the A1 project Modelling Partners in the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB 673)(Pending funding by the German Research Foundation)
We invite applications for the following postdoctoral position: 1 postdoc position (TV-L E13) with an initial duration of 2 years with the possibility of extension. The position is for a project on emotion priming in situated language comprehension. The ideal starting date is July 1, 2010 or later.
Applicants should have a strong background in psycholinguistics, have published in international journals and conferences,and hold a PhD in a relevant discipline. The ideal candidate will have experience with eye-tracking methods for investigating language processing and a strong profile in either language comprehension or emotion and language. Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis techniques is also desired as is an excellent command of English.
The position involves experimental research as well as contribution to student supervision and some administrative duties. The Language and Cognition Group, under the direction of Dr. Pia Knoeferle, is affiliated with the Cluster for Cognitive Interaction Technology. The group is actively engaged in experimental research on (situated) sentence comprehension, and uses a state-of-the-art eye-tracking and reaction time laboratory. The working language is English, but some knowledge of German is an asset. Support for conference travel will be available pending
funding.
